Anticipated visitors!

This year something wonderful happened at Christmas time. Grandma and Grandpa Fulks came to visit...for 2 weeks! Last year we were lucky enough to have John's mom come for a few days around Christmas, but we have never had family here through the whole Christmas season in the almost six years we have been here. How fun to be able to share all of our fun Christmas activities with my parents. There was much to do before my parents got to Florida, and I felt like I was running around with my head cut off half the time, but we were so excited to have them finally in our home. We did so many fun things with them. School was just about out when they got here, and so we had an entire week of fun before school began. It meant so much to me to have my parents here.

Oh how these two boys love their Grandpa. My Dad has this gift for being able to get on a childs level and truly play "with" them. They made up silly words, talked in silly voices (my dad is a master at this...ever since I was a small child), told silly jokes, and laughed and laughed.

Of course we had to take my parents to our neighborhood park to show them the giant Christmas tree that we walk or drive by each day. I love Christmas and love all the decorations. Guess I am a sucker for a big Christmas tree.

Most of our days consisted of...sleeping in, maybe going out for a walk or a run, going out to lunch and doing some shopping, doing crafts with Grandma, baking with Grandma, maybe going to see a movie or watching a movie at home, walking around some fun Christmas spots, etc. etc. etc. ...and it was perfect and wonderful.

My mom is a true artist (she really is), so it is always fun to have her help with crafts.

Kinsey made the cutest head bands for her friends. She could sell these...they are so much fun.

Cooper is sure concentrating on painting this ornament.
