The only complaint I have about Spring break is...IT ONLY COMES ONCE A YEAR. We are always SO READY for spring break when it comes around. And living in Florida, even if we don't get to go away on vacation, we can still enjoy the beautiful weather and FEEL like we are on vacation. So, we had a few days of rain, but we must have been blessed to work around the rain perfectly.
SOME OF MY SPRING BREAK FAVORITE MEMORIES:
1. SPRING BREAK!!!!! All of it.
2. Our three beach days.
3.Watching Kinsey run around in the surf for more than an hour playing frisbee with her friends. I never knew she was such a ruthless competitor. Don't cross her boys. She will GET THE FRISBEE OUT OF YOUR HAND, even if by force.
4. Watching Cooper and his little friends Suzi create a "hot tub" at the beach, out of a little tide pool. Entertained them for hours.
5. Having french fries and onion rings at a little restaurant on the pier, right above the water, with our friends the Dowdy's. We had all just enjoyed a wonderful beach day, and walked straight up for a yummy treat. Mmm, those fried foods never tasted better.
6. Narrowly missing a mini-tornado as we came out of the mall with the Dowdy's. Watching poor Carver (who has huge weather phobias), say a prayer to protect us from the storm...and watching his faith grow as the wind died down.
7. Sleeping in
8. Staying up
9. No homework or bedtimes
10. Spending an entire day reading a book in bed while watching a huge thunderstorm outside...as my kids had a movie marathon. I read "The Help" Loved it!
Wonderful vacation for sure. Just wish John could have had spring break too. Carver thinks it's NOT FAIR, that Dad's don't get all the same breaks that kids do. ME TOO!
